AME - HELICOPTER BASICS
AME Helicopter Basics is a self-paced Moodle course designed to help aspiring Aircraft Maintenance Engineers prepare for helicopter basic-knowledge examinations.
Learners can practise multiple-choice questions covering general aircraft maintenance knowledge, helicopter aerodynamics, rotor systems, transmissions, flight controls, turbine engines, piston engines, human factors and aviation legislation. Questions are organised according to the EASA Part-66 A3, A4, B1.3 and B1.4 syllabus categories.
The course provides immediate feedback, answer explanations, module-based practice quizzes and timed mock examinations. Learners may repeat practice quizzes, identify weaker subject areas and monitor their progress as they work towards examination readiness.
This is an examination-preparation and revision course. Completion does not constitute an approved Part-66 qualification or confer an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licence.
Dangerous Goods Awareness - Engineers
This programme is built for aircraft maintenance engineers, it keeps the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), 67th Edition (2026) as the primary standard, while anchoring your legal duties in the Civil Aviation Act [Chapter 13:16] and the ICAO Technical Instructions (Doc 9284) as adopted in Zimbabwe. Examples and the competency assessment are built around real maintenance tasks — batteries, oxygen generators, cylinders, chemicals and aerosols — and around Zimbabwe’s local emergency response and occurrence-reporting chains.
